YOUN WHA RYU (Ages 5+)

Youn Wha Ryu is a traditional Korean martial art designed to prepare students to defend themselves in all situations, from standing to ground fighting. Classes provide students with the tools to develop a strong body, mind, and spirit through dynamic instruction.  Training includes practical self-defense techniques as well as instruction in timing, speed, and full-body power. The classes are suited for all beginners to be able to participate no matter the level of athleticism.

DATES: April 3-25, 2024

Wednesdays and Thursdays | 6:30 to 7:30pm in Gymnasium Studios
Register monthly, 2 classes/week

COST: $45/$36 for members
(8 classes total, 2 per week)


AIKIDO (Ages 15+)

Traditional Aikido is taught by Senseis Toni Mahill and Dave Rogers. Mahill is one of only three female Dan grades in the 65-year history of the Ellis School of Traditional Aikido in England, which Rogers, her father and teacher, is also associated with. These instructors have a rich background in traditional Aikido that they enjoy sharing with students.
Course instruction includes empty-hand and armed techniques with a focus on the mental, spiritual, and physical. The course encompasses a cooperative group approach paired with individual teaching. Note that this is a physical class, with person-to-person contact.

DATES: Feb. 26 – April 11, 2024

Mondays 7:30 to 9pm in Studio B
